I'm organizing this special Monday openplay for a cause, and I'd love for our pickleball community to be part of this journey with me. On September 5, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. My treatment journey ahead includes six cycles of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and radiation therapy. As I prepare for this challenging journey, I'm choosing to continue doing what I love, staying active, and finding strength in the community that has always brought me so much joy. Thankfully, a kind supporter has generously offered two courts at Kobe’s Pickle Lab for this fundraising openplay. Because of this generosity, we can come together, play the sport we love, and make a difference. OPENPLAY DETAILS - Schedule: Every Monday, 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM - Venue: Kobe’s Pickle Lab - Courts: 2 courts - Capacity: 12 players per court, 24 players total - Donation: 75php per player WHERE WILL THE PROCEEDS GO? All proceeds from this openplay will go toward my breast cancer treatment, medications, chemotherapy-related expenses, and travel and accommodation expenses when I need to go to Cebu for medical care.
