"Captain. Leader. Legend. A solid defender and a solid bloke to match. Need a booming header won? Evans is your man! Need a runner tracked? Evans is your man! Need money collected, beers delivered, pitch booked and paid for? Evans is very much your man! Don’t expect too many tricks and flicks from this player, he’s very much of a ‘get the basics right first’ mindset, but doesn’t he just get the basics right both on and off the pitch. He might not be the type of player to make headlines but he’s a managers dream, the sort of player any successful team needs."
