🔄 Format of Play: Rotating Ladder / Round Robin
To ensure everyone gets equal play time and gets to meet new community members:
1. Individual Registration: No partner needed! You will rotate partners and opponents every round.
2. Rock-Paper-Scissors for first serve.
3. Round Matches: Each player plays 6 matches, played to 11 points (sudden death when the score ties at 10)
4. Rotating System: After each round, report your individual score to the host desk and wait for your assigned court for the next match.
---
📊 Ranking & Medal Rules
All participants accumulate individual wins, scores, and total games played across all rounds to determine top podium finishers. The host uses "Win percentage" as ranking for determining the podium finishers. Wins will be divided by completed games. If there will be tied in Total wins, and total games played, the system will automatically calculate the "strength of schedule" that refers to the difficulty or ease of how a player defeats the opponent compared to others through scores tally.
Medal Categories
🥇 Champion: Medal + Free Open Play fee for the next session
🥈 1st Runner-Up: Medal
🥉 2nd Runner-Up: Medal

📜 On-Court Rules & Etiquette
We strictly follow standard Pickleball beginner-friendly rules:
1. Underhand Serving: All serves must be hit underhand below the waist. Drop serves are permitted.
2. Two-Bounce Rule: The serve must bounce once on the receiver's side, and the return must bounce once on the server's side before either team can hit a volley out of the air.
3. The Kitchen (Non-Volley Zone): You cannot hit the ball out of the air while touching or standing inside the 7-foot Kitchen line. You may step in only if the ball has bounced inside first.
4. Score Announcement: The server must call the score out loud** before serving (Server Score – Opponent Score – Server Number 1 or 2).
5. Self-Officiating & Line Calls: Players make line calls on their side of the court. If a ball is too close to call, give the benefit of the doubt to your opponent ("In!").
6. Sportsmanship: Tap paddles at the net after every game and keep the atmosphere encouraging!
