Note: DRP stands for drills, reps and play ------------------------------------ Testimonial on Coach Dennis Sek’s Drill-Based Training Format Thank you for today! Had a fantastic pickleball coaching session, truly a uniquely structured and highly effective experience. The drills were thoughtfully designed to simulate real game situations, which made the training both practical and engaging. What stood out most was the strong emphasis on game play scenarios rather than just repetitive practice. Every drill had a purpose, helping to improve decision-making, positioning, and overall court awareness. It was a very productive session that not only sharpened skills but also gave clear direction on what to work on moving forward. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their game through purposeful and game-focused training. - Linda, 17 April 2026 "Thanks to Dennis with the game-driven drills he taught us yesterday. 🙏 If we can master them, we'd be on another level🏆😁" - PCK, 8 April 2026 "I run small group pickleball sessions mainly for 50+ players, most of whom are below DUPR 3.0. The objective was simple — to help them improve consistency, enjoy the game more, and become more competitive without relying on power. I adopted two of Dennis Sek’s core drills: 1) 5 Dinks Then Speed-Up 2) Baseline to NVZ Transiton Game. We ran these drills in a structured format with 4–5 players per session, using rotations and scoring for every round. What stood out immediately was that these are not typical drills. They simulate real match situations — decision-making at the kitchen and the challenge of moving from baseline to NVZ under pressure. To better understand their effectiveness, I took a more “clinical” approach. Over multiple sessions, I tracked scores for every round and used AI tools to analyze performance patterns and trends. The findings were clear: Players showed measurable improvement in both consistency and decision-making. Transition play (baseline to kitchen) improved significantly over time. Even below 3.0 players became more competitive in actual games. In fact, in a recent friendly match against younger players, our group was able to hold and win multiple matches using a controlled, kitchen-focused approach rather than power play. Beyond the numbers, the biggest impact was confidence. Players began to understand how to construct points, not just react to them. The sessions also became more engaging because progress could be seen and discussed. In my view, Dennis’s drill format is simple, structured, and highly effective — especially for developing players. More importantly, it lends itself very well to performance tracking, which is something rarely done at this level. I believe this approach has strong potential for wider adoption, particularly for players looking for a more structured and measurable way to improve their game. - Lee Chee Hock, 31 March 2026
