About this Session
Pickleball Coaches Masterclass
Venue: Pick ‘N Play Arena, Marikina
Coaching profile: dinkstart.com/coaches/bobby-armillo
Becoming a great pickleball coach is about more than knowing how to hit the ball or teach the basic strokes. It’s about developing a complete coaching system—one that helps you understand players, design effective programs, manage different personalities, and build a sustainable career.
In this Pickleball Masterclass, I’ll be sharing the coaching system I’ve developed through 16 years of coaching abroad—experience that has allowed me to work with different levels of players, companies, associations, different learning styles, and different coaching environments.
1. Personal Development
The first area we’ll focus on is personal development. Before you can develop players, you need to develop yourself as a coach. We’ll talk about building confidence, improving your communication, becoming more observant, and learning how to give feedback that players can actually understand and apply.
You’ll also learn how to become more adaptable, professional, and intentional in your approach.
2. Career Path
The second area is career path.
Pickleball is growing rapidly, and aspiring coaches need to understand how to turn their skills into meaningful opportunities. This class will help you look at the different directions your coaching career can take—from group classes and private lessons to junior development, competitive coaching, club programs, and event-based opportunities.
The goal is to help you see coaching not just as a hobby, but as a profession you can continuously build.
3. Player Management
The third area is player management.
Every player is different. Some need technical correction. Others need confidence, motivation, structure, or better decision-making. You’ll learn how to assess your players, understand their needs, manage expectations, and create a positive learning environment.
4. Program Design
Finally, we’ll cover program design.
You’ll learn how to create organized, progressive, and purposeful coaching programs—not just random drills. Each session should have a clear objective and help players move closer to their goals.
If you’re an aspiring coach who wants a stronger system, clearer direction, and practical tools to help players improve, this Pickleball Masterclass is for you.
Let’s develop better coaches, better programs, and better players—together.
